The 2026 Victorian Architecture Awards were announced at the annual celebration dinner last Friday night. Congratulations to all the shortlisted entrants and award winners on the night.
Jackson Clements Burrows + Site Office Landscape Architecture + AW Maritime received three significant awards for the St Kilda Pier Redevelopment including The Dimity Reed Melbourne Prize, The Joseph Reed Award for Urban Design and the Victorian Architecture Medal, the highest honour awarded by the Victorian Chapter.
We are incredibly proud of the St Kilda Pier which clearly demonstrates the value that Architects bring to place-making and public infrastructure projects delivered through strategic design partnerships. We also congratulate Parks Victoria, Simpson Construction Co and the many collaborators whose commitment and expertise contributed to the success.
Always thankful to the Vic Chapter of the AIA and the Awards Sponsors. Particular thanks go out to all the jurors for this significant recognition who commented that “The project demonstrates how complex infrastructure can also become playful, social and deeply civic”.
Wonderful recognition for our beloved Melbourne landmark.
