Malvern Collective has won Silver in the Architecture – Mixed Use – Constructed category at the Melbourne Design Awards 2026. Positioned beside Malvern Station, the project transforms a complex gateway site into a vibrant precinct combining two residential towers with the adaptive reuse of landmark heritage buildings, including the former Angel Tavern and historic Station Place shopfronts. The project shows how design and placemaking can deliver lasting commercial, social and civic value—strengthening the Glenferrie Road precinct and setting a new benchmark for transit-oriented mixed-use development in Melbourne.
