This significant master plan responded to the diverse and extensive requirements of the City of Port Phillip’s site brief for the renewed working marina precinct.

As lead design consultant, JCB developed a collective vision with AMDC and CoPP to reimagine the marina as Melbourne’s premier ‘blue park’. The design brings to life a cohesive framework of hospitality, retail and community offerings as well as state-of-the-art boating facilities, characterised through the creative interpretation of the marina’s modernist character and heritage.

With placemaking and sustainability at its core, the master plan liberates a significant amount of public open space to support seasonal community events and increase landscape greening, and reconnect with the bay via a new foreshore promenade.
