Our education team is currently working on an exciting refurbishment project for a leading university. The commission explores how an existing asset can be reimagined as a series of interconnected and adaptable learning environments. The proposal prioritises spaces that support learning through doing, making and collaborating, with learner-directed activity and industry engagement supported through a diversity of learning styles and teaching modes. The driving force behind the commission is increased student numbers and the need to create enriching on-campus student experiences, while aligning with broader Masterplan objectives to create stronger connections between Schools, allied disciplines and industry. At its heart is a focus on student experience—creating spaces that support a genuine sense of belonging and inclusivity, while unlocking greater value and efficiency from the existing asset.
