JCB begins an exciting new chapter this week by welcoming five new shareholders.

In a year of significant success and growth, the expanded ownership model reflects the practice’s commitment to collective leadership and diversity.

JCB co-founder and Director Jon Clements describes the move as “an important mark of change as we commence a shift towards a sustainable practice model that will support future generations of architects.”

Our new partners represent a cross section of the diversity of our leadership and specialised experience – respected leaders who continue to be key contributors to the strategic growth and success of our studio while we navigate a rapidly shifting technological and economic landscape.

The new shareholders include Principals Veryan Curnow and Christopher Botterill and Associate Principals Sarah Lynn Rees, Luke Wilson and Liza Power.

The move to build a larger equity group reflects the outcome of strategic conversations with our team and research into models implemented by like-minded practices to ensure our longevity and continued success.

Director Graham Burrows says the model will evolve over time to provide team members with rich and rewarding careers in architecture.

The announcement follows the establishment of our Brisbane studio last year and several exciting commissions in Sydney and Perth.
