Next week, Principal Chris Botterill will present at WCTE 2025, the World Conference on Timber Engineering in Brisbane. He’ll join a line-up of researchers, engineers, project managers and manufacturers discussing the latest developments and innovations in timber engineering and construction in Australia.

Timber construction is fast gaining popularity due to the advantages it offers on many fronts – sustainability and its low-carbon footprint, faster construction times, cost-efficiency and advancements in products enabling it to be applicable across larger scales. With this has come a rise in engineering and architectural firms advocating for timber engineering as a preferred solution for diverse projects.

Chris has led the design of many of our mass timber projects, from his own home Sweetwater House in Frankston South (pictured, winner of the 2024 AIA Victorian Architecture Awards: COLORBOND Award for Steel Architecture), to 2024 T3 Collingwood (winner of the 2024 AIA National Architecture Award: Harry Seidler Award for Commercial Architecture) and Decjuba HQ (currently shortlisted in the 2024 AIA Victorian Architecture Awards for Commercial Architecture). He’ll present a case study on T3 Collingwood with project consultants and suppliers.
