What a buzz to see Bernie on the cover of the current edition of Architecture Australia, accompanied by an engaging and thoughtful piece by Rachel Hurst.

“Bernie” has settled quickly into the lives of the locals. On this Sunday morning, the library is buzzing with new users, there’s a queue of folk for the movie screening and, in the art gallery, there’s a show by accomplished artists Lindy Yeates. At the opening, one of the Elders remarked that “This building resonates with the spirits of my ancestors”, while a woman confided: “I went up and hugged one of the columns!”
