Last week Graham took part in Awards Awards Awards: a panel discussion presented by PROCESS and hosted at Testing Grounds. Ahead of the National Architecture Awards presentation in November, the panel explored common threads that connect award-winning examples of design in our built environment.
So far this year, we’ve been thrilled to see more than a few JCB projects recognised with awards. Most recently, Berninneit Cultural and Community Centre, Clifton Hill Primary School (pictured) and T3 Collingwood were all shortlisted in the AIA’s preeminent awards program, the National Architecture Awards.
On deciding the shortlist, Jury Chair Stuart Tanner noted that “the Jury was especially responsive to buildings with an authentic response to place and purpose. A project should strive to be a recognition of contextual innovation, acknowledging community and cultural needs.”
