Perched on a hill overlooking Raheen and Studley Park, Carnsworth House was originally built in the 1960s, exemplifying residential architecture of the period. JCB’s brief was to sympathetically breathe new life into its old modernist bones, while extending its capacity to accommodate a growing family.

Bathrooms, kitchen and living areas were replanned and re-finished with a range of materials and colours that enhance the building’s natural setting. Burnt orange carpets, rich timber ceilings, dark terrazzo floor tiles, tailored cabinetry, period lighting and Florence Broadchurch wallpaper all combine to dramatic effect in the rejuvenation of this much loved sixties home.
